The Ensemble & Musical Approach

101 Voices Ensemble consists of a 45-member male choir, a 50-piece symphony orchestra, and a rock band featuring guitar, drums, bass, and keyboard.

Rather than applying a single formula, each song is approached individually. The balance between choir, symphonic and rock elements shifts from track to track, allowing every piece to find its own character and emotional focus.

Artists and electronic performers are selected based on their individuality, character and stage presence, ensuring that each performance feels authentic, expressive and deeply connected to the spirit of the original songs.

"This isn’t a reworking in the classical sense. With the support of the symphony orchestra and male choir, the aim is to cast a spotlight on the deeper, hidden layers of Depeche Mode’s music. It’s like looking at something familiar from a new angle — suddenly, new details become visible. In this kind of orchestration, such an approach is rare, but for Depeche Mode I see it as the only way: preserving the original character rather than forcing something artificial onto their music." - Richárd Riederauer
