101 VOICES is a unique Hungarian production created with deep respect for the musical legacy of Depeche Mode.
The production premiered in front of an audience of more than 10,000 people, immediately proving its ability to connect with large-scale crowds and to create a powerful, collective live experience.
The story of 101 VOICES began over a decade ago.
Three close friends founded Friends Club Hungary, united by a shared mindset, endless curiosity, and a desire to create live events with real artistic and emotional value. Each came from a different professional background: two from the world of event production, and the third from the stage — a lifelong, deeply committed Depeche Mode fan.
The idea for 101 VOICES was conceived more than ten years ago.
The production was born from the fusion of directing and choreographic experience, creative musical experimentation, and a long-held belief that Depeche Mode’s music contains far deeper layers than are usually revealed in traditional live performances.
From the very beginning, the creative team believed in the vision.
A truly diverse and exceptional group of artists and professionals came together, each outstanding in their own field. Members of the choir, the symphony orchestra, the rock band, and the creative and technical teams all brought their individual character, artistic identity, and perspective into a shared creation.
The goal was never reinterpretation.
Instead, the aim was to illuminate the music from a new angle — preserving its original character while revealing its deeper emotional and musical layers.
WHEN THE VISION MET THE AUDIENCE
Then came the premiere.
As the first notes of “PIMPF” filled the venue, everything aligned. The audience response was immediate. They were fully present, emotionally engaged, and deeply connected to the experience. From the first sound to the final note, performers and audience moved together through an intense, shared journey.
That night revealed something essential:
